Mohan Maheswaran joined Semtech as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in April 2006. Prior to joining Semtech, Mohan held the position of Executive Vice President, General Manager at Intersil Corporation. He joined Intersil Corporation by way of its acquisition of Elantec Semiconductor Inc. in 2002. In addition to having worked for Intersil and Elantec, he has been employed by Allayer Communications, IBM Microelectronics, Texas Instruments, Hewlett-Packard and Nortel Communications.
Mohan holds a BSEE from Surrey University and a MBA from Henley Executive Management College, both of which are located in the United Kingdom.
Emeka Chukwu joined the company as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in November 2006 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in August 2011. Emeka has been employed in various financial positions at Intersil, Inc, a manufacturer of analog semiconductors, since 2002. His most recent position was Vice President, Finance, in which capacity he served since February 2006. From July 1999 through April 2002, he was the Corporate Controller of Elantec Semiconductor, Inc, a manufacturer of analog integrated circuits that was acquired by Intersil in 2002. He has also held accounting positions at other high-technology companies during the past eighteen years and holds a Bachelors Degree and MBA in Accounting from Woodbury University.
Jean-Paul Bardyn was appointed Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in November 2011 and Vice President R&D of the Advanced Communications and Sensing Business Unit in June 2007. He joined Semtech as the result of the 2005 acquisition of XEMICS S.A., a spin-off of the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He co-founded XEMICS in 1997 and served as its Vice President R&D, leading developments in ultra-low power analog, radio frequency (RF) and digital integrated circuits (IC). From 1994 to 1997, he served as R&D Director of CSEM's IC Design Unit research group. Prior to joining CSEM, he served as Technical Director of Mixed Silicon Structures S.A., which he co-founded in 1990 in Roubaix, France.
Ken Barry was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Special Projects in 2013 and is responsible for various strategic and administrative initiatives for the company. Ken previously served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining Semtech in 2006, Ken was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Move.com. Ken has more than 30 years of experience working in a broad range of industries, including positions with SuperConductor Technologies, Nortel, Harman International and Exel Logistics.
Ken has a Masters Degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.
Gary Beauchamp
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Gennum Product Group
Mr. Beauchamp was appointed Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the Gennum Product Group in 2012, following Semtech's acquisition of Gennum Corporation. Mr. Beauchamp's group provides high-performance analog solutions to the video broadcast, video surveillance, and data communications markets. Prior to his role at Semtech, Mr. Beauchamp was Sr. Vice President and General Manager, Mixed Signal and Optical Products, for Gennum Corporation, which he joined in 2000. Mr. Beauchamp founded Gennum's data communications business in 2001, which accounted for almost half the company's sales by 2011. Between 1990 and 2000, Mr. Beauchamp held several management positions at COM DEV International.
Mr. Beauchamp graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1981 and graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering in 1984. He holds three U.S. patents in satellite communications.
Alain Dantec became the Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless & Sensing Product Group, as a result of the 2005 acquisition of XEMICS S.A. Located in Neuchậtel, Switzerland, the Company is a developer of ultra-low power analog, radio frequency (RF) and digital integrated circuits (IC). He was Chief Executive Officer there from 2001 to June 2005. Prior to joining Xemics, Alain was CEO of Atmel Nantes a subsidiary of Atmel in France from 1996 to 2001. He has more than 30 years experience in the semiconductor industry in a broad range of technical and management positions within such leading companies as ATMEL, the Temic Group, Harris, and Alcatel.
Alain graduated as an Engineer in Physics from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) and as an Engineer in Microelectronics from Ecole Supérieure d' Electricité in Rennes, France.
Sharon Faltemier joined Semtech as Vice President, Human Resources in January 2013. Prior to joining Semtech, Sharon served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for DTS, Inc. in California. Sharon has more than 30 years of experience working in several industries, including human resources experience at Proctor & Gamble, Northrop Grumman and Boeing.
Sharon has a Degree in Chemical Engineering from Berkeley, California and qualifications in executive management and Finance from Harvard and Wharton.
Mr. Harper serves as Semtech's Sr. Vice President, Strategy and Systems Innovation Group. This group was formed following the acquisition of Sierra Monolithics, Inc. by Semtech Corporation on December 9, 2009. Most recently, Mr. Harper was Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Sierra Monolithics since 1988. Prior to founding Sierra Monolithics, he worked for several high technology companies in the Southern California area. He served as Manager of Advanced Technology Development at Magnavox, Director of Business Planning at Mattel, Assistant Director of Management Services at Lear Sieger, and several engineering and executive management positions at the Garrett/Allied Signal Corporation.
Mr. Harper serves on a number of boards and councils including the California Council on Science and Technology, University of Southern California EE Advisory Council, Council of the University of Southern California Integrated Media Systems Center, and the MIT Sloan School Dean Advisory Council.
Mr. Harper received a BSEE degree from Tennessee State University, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and was a doctoral candidate in marketing and economics at the UCLA Graduate School of Management.
Jonathan Hahn joined the company in May 2010. Mr. Hahn joins Semtech from Telmar Network Technology where he served as CIO since 2001. Prior to his time at Telmar Network Technology, Mr. Hahn worked with such companies as Nexgenix, Inc., EDS, E. Solutions Consulting, Cerplex Inc. and TRW Inc. He holds a BS degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine and an MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Randall Holliday joined the Company in October 2008 as Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to Semtech, he served as General Counsel and Secretary at Power-One, Inc. from 2001 through 2008, where he had responsibility for worldwide legal affairs. From 1994 through 2000, he held the position of Secretary and General Counsel with Xircom, Inc. His 30 years of experience in the legal field also includes service as a Staff Judge Advocate with the U.S. Air Force.
Randall holds both a B.A. and a J.D. degree from Florida State University.
James Kim, was appointed as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing on January 26, 2007. James has been employed by the Company since 1986. He served as Vice President of Global Handset Sales since March 2004 and was previously Director of Sales and Marketing for Korea and Japan. James earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UCLA.
Jeff Pohlman is the Executive Vice President And General Manager, Protection & Power and Hi-Rel Products. Jeff has worked Semtech in various engineering roles since 1988. He was previously employed by Supertex Inc., Fairchild Camera and Instrument, Inc., and National Semiconductor in various technical and managerial roles.
Jeff earned a BSEE and MSEE from the Univeristy of Illinois-Urbana.
Mr. Silberstein joined the Company and was appointed as Vice President, Operations in December 2010. In March 2011, Mr. Silberstein became Vice President, Worldwide Operations. In March 2013, Mr. Silberstein became Senior Vice President Operations. Prior to joining the Company, he was employed from 2007 to 2010 at Microsemi Corporation as Vice President Global Operations in its Analog Mixed Signal Division. Prior to Microsemi, he was Vice President Operations from 2000 to 2005 and Chief Operating Officer from 2005 to 2007 at Powerdsine, Israel, when Powerdsine was acquired by Microsemi. He has also previously served in various positions at 3Com and ECI Telecom.
Asaf holds a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben Gurion University and an MBA from Bar Ilan University, both located in Israel.
Sameer Vuyyuru was appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager, Advanced Communications Products in 2013. His group focuses on advanced technologies that enable core and access networking infrastructure to accommodate the ongoing expansion in bandwidth demand. From 2006 to 2011, he served as Vice President of Marketing. Before joining Semtech, Sameer held multiple product line director positions at Intersil. Prior to that, he spent eight years in product line and design positions at Texas Instruments. His nearly 20-year career has focused primarily on analog and DSP.
Sameer holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, Dallas.
Mike Wilson was appointed Executive Vice President, Quality & Reliability in 2013. He also held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from May 2008 until November 2011. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Vice President, General Manager of the Power Management Product Group. He joined Semtech as a result of the 1995 acquisition of ECI Semiconductor where he was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mike has more than 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry in a broad range of technical and management positions.
